Guidepoint was established in 1999 and has been an industry leader in mobile telematics from the start. In 2020, I purchased the firm and feel blessed to now lead this innovative and talented team. Our new Mobile App is just the first of several enhancements planned this year. It’s all part of our commitment to deliver the absolute best vehicle data-tracking service to OEMs, new and pre-owned dealers, fleet service groups, rental car companies, and consumers.

Guidepoint Systems Teams with Police to Recover Stolen Porsche in Record Time!

Thanks to advanced vehicle tracking technology from Guidepoint Systems, a global leader in vehicle telematics solutions, the theft of a Porsche reported to York Regional Police (Ontario, Canada) was recovered in record time. Guidepoint’s Vehicle Recovery Call Center worked with police to track the stolen vehicle. As the chase reached high speeds, line of sight pursuit became difficult and dangerous, so the decision was made to launch helicopter air support.  Peel Regional Police joined the pursuit and apprehended the suspects and recovered the vehicle in under three hours. Vehicle theft rates have been skyrocketing in North America. In 2023, Canada experienced about 286 vehicle thefts per 100,000 people (up 264% between 2018 and 2023), while in 2024, the U.S. has experienced approximately 305 vehicle thefts per 100,000 people. Long-serving employee will oversee supply chain, call center and consumer product DETROIT, Mich.
