GUIDEPOINT SYSTEMS DELIVERS CUSTOMIZED FLEET MANAGEMENT SERVICES TO FLORIDA TOWING COMPANY

DETROIT, Mich. (May 12, 2022) – Guidepoint Systems, a global provider of vehicle telematics and Software as a Service (SaaS) for automotive OEMs, new and pre-owned vehicle dealerships, rental agencies and commercial fleet managers, announced today it has signed a three year agreement to provide fleet management services to MK Towing Services in Haines City, Florida.

Under the agreement, Guidepoint is providing its FM-4310 transponder to new specially-designed trucks in the MK Towing fleet. The FM-4310 will deliver real-time data on the operation of the vehicle, including its power turn off (PTO) system, allowing business managers to maximize performance and reduce costs.

“I was impressed with the data options available with Guidepoint and their monthly charge was much lower than other providers, so it made great business sense for us,” said Matthew Myers, owner of MK Towing Services.

Fleet management has been a core service of Guidepoint Systems for many years, but recent worldwide increases in fuel costs and supply chain issues have led some customers to seek new data options that help them to reduce waste and save money.

“Our products and services are very versatile and can benefit virtually any company that needs a reliable way to monitor its mobile assets,” said Alex Gajano, Vice President of Business Development of Automotive and IoT and general manager of the company’s Latin America and European operations. “We pride ourselves on delivering data solutions that maximize your company’s overall performance.”

Last November, Guidepoint launched FleetMovil ®, a new fleet management outsourcing solution. It uses web-based GPS tracking software to easily follow the speed, direction, driving activity and location of fleet vehicles. Guidepoint’s new service provides more than 300 monitoring parameters including engine warning indicators, maintenance reminders, carbon emissions, fuel efficiency, PTO monitoring, driving behavior such as sudden starts and stops, how long a vehicle is stopped at a particular location and a log of past travel history.

“Our goal is to deliver the very best service to our customers and business partners,” said Samuel Spencer, Guidepoint President and CEO. “Whether you’re an OEM, utility company, rental car company or small business, we are prepared to deliver data services that will help your reduce operational costs and effectively manage some of your most valuable assets.”
